A man who was arrested in connection with the shooting of a child in Ballyfermot at the weekend has been released without charge.
The 6 year old boy was wounded in the neck in the incident on Friday night.
Gardai detained a man in his mid-thirties on Sunday, reportedly on suspicion of withholding information.
He was questioned at Ballyfermot station, and was released late last night.
A file is being prepared for the DPP.
