A man has been jailed for life for murdering a father of one in Mulhuddart in August 2012.
Gerard Burnett was stabbed up to 30 times after being dragged from his girlfriend's house by a gang of five men.
21-year-old Andrew Gibney of Drumheath Avenue, Mulhuddart had been drinking at his place with friends on the night of Gerard's death.
They decided to call over to the 28-year-old to buy some more alcohol and Andrew armed himself with a kitchen knife in case he "got smart".
There was a late night knock at the door of Mr. Burnett's girlfriend's home at Castlecurragh Vale. She begged him not to answer it.
When he did so, a knife flashed into the doorway and he was dragged outside where he was beaten by a gang of five men and stabbed up to 30 times.
The jury was told there had been some bad blood between the two after Gerard stabbed him with a screwdriver a few years beforehand.
And while Andrew admitted stabbing him three times, he insisted he never meant to kill him.
It took the jurors just over four and a half hours to return a guilty verdict.
Gibney made very little reaction when the verdict was read out but glanced over to family and friends when he was handed the mandatory life sentence.
