A man has been jailed for five years for his role in what was described in court as an “industrial scale” drugs and ammo operation for the Kinahan cartel.

Once he’s released from prison, Anthony Glynn, of Fitzgibbon Court, Dublin 1, will also have to abide by a monitoring order for a further three years.

Anthony Glynn, a 52 year old father-of-four, was described in court as a hardworking family man.

But after gardai raided a Kinahan controlled drugs and ammo storage depot in 2017, it emerged that he was involved with the organised crime group; in that he acted as a “conduit” for the industrial scale operation at the Dublin business park.

He admitted being in possession of cocaine and cannabis, worth a combined total of over €1.5m, as well as various types of ammunition.

The drugs and bullets were found inside crates which were being stored in the Dublin 5 unit.

Anthony Glynn was jailed for five years today and will have to inform gardai of travel plans and potential changes of address for three years following his release.

His younger brother, Douglas, is already in prison for his involvement.
