As the stormy weather continues, the public are being warned to stay away from seafronts.
It's after a man was taken to hospital this afternoon while walking on Howth pier.
He was knocked 10 foot from the upper pier to the lower pier just before three this afternoon during high tide.
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene but due to waves continually breaking over the pier wall, a decision was made to transfer him on the Howth lifeboat across the harbour to the Lifeboat station where an ambulance was waiting for him.
Fergus Cooney from Howth Coastguard has this message.
