Gardai are continuing to question a man in his 50's in relation to the death of a woman in Dublin yesterday.
The woman, who is in her 60's, and has been named locally as Mary Dargan died after she received gunshot injuries at her home in Killinarden in Tallaght.
A second woman, in her 30's, who was also injured, was taken to Tallaght hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injures.
A man who was arrested by gardai yesterday was taken to hospital for treatment and is now being held by Gardai in Tallaght.
