A man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Clondalkin which has left another man in a critical condition.
Gardai arrested the man in his 20s today in connection with the alleged attack in a car park on St Cuthbert's Road ion Saturday the 4th of January at around 5pm.
The injured man in his 40s remains in Beaumont Hospital.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A garda spokesperson says: "A man in his 20s has been arrested by Gardaí attached to the Serious Crime South Unit based at Clondalkin in connection with an alleged assault that occurred on Saturday, January 4th, 2025.
"The incident took place at approximately 5pm in a car park on St. Cuthbert's Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, where a man in his 40s was seriously injured.
"The injured man is currently receiving treatment at Beaumont Hospital and his condition is described as critical.
