A Finglas man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Kenneth O’Brien.
The dismembered body of the dad of one was found in separate locations in the Grand Canal in Co Kildare.
Paul Wells from Barnamore Park in Finglas appeared before the Dublin District Court dressed in a navy hoody and dark trousers.
A garda sergeant told the court he charged the 48 year old at Naas Garda Station this evening with the murder of Kenneth O’Brien. And the accused replied to the caution ‘‘ I am responsible for killing Kenneth and I gave a true account of what happened’’.
He’s charged with killing the 33 year old at his Finglas home in or around the 15th or 16th of January. Paul Wells was remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next Thursday.
Kenneth’s partner was in court for the brief five minutes hearing.
