A man has died in a housefire in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services attended the scene in Saint Anne’s Road Drumcondra at 2.30am.
A man in his 50s was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious burn injuries, and later died.
A number of other people managed to escape the blaze uninjured.
Gardai remain at the scene today and the investigation is continuing.

A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a house fire in the early hours of this morning Monday 18th July, 2022 in Drumcondra, Dublin 9.
"At approximately 2.45am Dublin Fire brigade removed a man, late 50s from the house who was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious burn injuries. He later passed away. A post mortem will take place at a later date.
"A number of other residents from the house managed to evacuate the house and were uninjured. Gardaí remain at scene at this time and investigations ongoing."
A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade says: "Dublin Fire Brigade were alerted by a 999/112 call at approximately 2.30am to a house fire on Saint Anne’s Road.
"Fire engines and ambulances from Phibsborough, North Strand and HQ were dispatched to the scene. A number of occupants of the house had self-rescued prior to arrival of fire crews. Firefighters using Breathing Apparatus found the man in the property and resuscitation was commenced by an advance paramedic on scene before transport to the Mater hospital by fire brigade ambulance.
"Investigations will be conducted by An Garda Siochana to determine the cause of the fire which is normal procedure at all fatal fires.
"We’d like to offer our condolences to the family, friends and neighbours of the man at this difficult time."
