A teenager has been arrested in connection with last night's fatal stabbing in West Dublin.
A man was stabbed to death after a row broke out on Main Street in Ongar at 7 o'clock.
The victim, who was in his 40s, was known to state services for personal issues.
Gardai say they arrested a teenager this morning on suspicion of murder. He has been taken to a garda station in the West of the city for questioning.
An incident room has been set up at Blanchardstown Garda Station and anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
A post-mortem is set to be carried out by the State Pathologist later this afternoon.
Gardai said in a statement ''Investigating Gardaí are appealing to any persons who were in the vicinity of Main Street, Ongar yesterday evening Tuesday 13th June, 2023 between 6.30p.m. and 7p.m. to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.''
