A man is in a critical condition after what Gardaí have called an "incident" on Mountjoy Street in Dublin.
It happened yesterday at around 8.20pm, and the man in his 40s was brought to Beaumont Hospital for treatment.
It's understood an altercation took place on the street yesterday evening.
No arrests have been made and Gardai have asked witnesses to come forward.
Officers have asked for any information to be presented to Mountjoy Station, the Garda Confidential Line or any Garda Station.
