A 39-year-old man has appeared in court charged with incitement to hatred after posting videos online.
Graham Carey, of Dunsink Drive in Finglas, Dublin 11, was granted bail after appearing before Dublin District Court this morning.
Detective Sgt Eamon Hoey from the Special Detective Unit told the court that following arrest, charge and caution, Graham Carey said 'In hindsight, it won't be happening again. I will be taking a different approach going forward.'
He was before Judge Michele Finan this morning, following his arrest on Wednesday.
There was no objection to bail providing Mr Carey complied with a number of conditions.
They include staying off social media, while he can't attend, participate or organise any protests or gatherings, and he is to stay away from centres housing refugees.
Legal aid was not granted at this time, as Gardai want to undertake an assessment of means.
Mr Carey will appear before Blanchardstown District Court again in April for DPP directions.
