A 45 year old man has been charged with the murder of another man in West Dublin.
Noel Whelan, who was in his 20s, was stabbed to death at a house in Mulhuddart on Saturday evening.
45 year old Mark Whelan of Castlecurragh Heath in Mulhuddart appeared before Blanchardstown District Court this afternoon charged with his murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due back before Cloverhill District Court on Friday.
His solicitor asked that the accused receive medical attention and a psychiatric assessment while on remand.
