A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Dublin city centre.

The knife attack happened on popular South Anne Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

34 year-old Quam Babatunde was found with serious injuries and unresponsive shortly after 3am but died in hospital a short time later.

Three men in their 20s were arrested in Dublin and Belfast yesterday. One of them was detained while trying to board a ferry to Liverpool from Belfast.

A man has since been charged in connection with the case. He's due before Dublin District Court this morning.

The other two men remain in garda and police custody.
