A man in his 20's has appeared in court this morning, charged with a robbery at a shop in Tallaght.
A convenience store in Jobstown alerted the authorities after they'd been robbed yesterday morning at knife point.
The man entered the store and threatened a staff member before leaving with a sum of cash.
He also entered a second shop moments later but left empty-handed after threatening staff, no one was physically harmed.
A garda spokesman said: "In a follow operation investigating Gardaí later searched a house in the Tallaght area and arrested a man aged in late 20s. He was detained for questioning in relation to both incidents at Tallaght Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984".
