A man has been charged following a seizure of almost €170,000 worth of cannabis and €8,000 in cash in Lucan yesterday.
Searches took place in the Lucan area of Dublin on Saturday, September 26th.
Gardaí patrolling the area searched a vehicle just after 9am and discovered half of the cash along with €6,900 worth of suspected cannabis herb and drug paraphernalia.
A follow-up search was carried out in a nearby residence uncovering a further €160,000 in cannabis, more drug paraphernalia and the remaining cash.
The man, who is in his 20s, is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Monday morning.
