Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious burns during a public order incident in Dublin.
At around 5.15pm yesterday evening Gardaí received reports of a serious public order incident that had broken out at Thornton Heights in Inchicore.
A group of men were involved in the incident, that saw a man in his 30s suffer serious burn injuries.
He was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment.
A number of scenes were sealed off for a technical exam and Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information on the assault to contact Kilmainham Garda Station.
Anyone who has video recordings of the incident is being asked to hand them over as part of the investigation.
They have also asked road users who were in the Thornton Heights area of Inchicore between 5pm and 6pm yesterday, and who may have video footage (dash-cam or other forms), to make it available to Gardaí.
Investigations are ongoing.
