Gardai have arrested a man in connection with a violent car jacking in Ballsbridge over a week ago.
A woman was seriously injured when her car was stolen outside her apartment complex.
This incident took place outside the Argyle House apartments in broad daylight on the 21st of April.
Liz Turley was entering the code for the electronic gates just before 2pm when a man and a woman attempted to steal her Ford Focus car.
What she tried to stop them she was knocked unconscious and was hospitalised with serious injuries.
The car was discovered the following day but it wasn't until yesterday evening that a man in his 30s was arrested in Dublin city centre.
The suspect was brought to Irishtown garda station for questioning where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
