A man has been arrested in connection with an assault on a woman on a bus in Dublin last year.
The incident happened in Rathfarnham on the 29th of May.
The man in his 30s was arrested this afternoon and is being questioned at a garda station in Dublin where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
Gardai have thanked the public for their assistance in the investigation after it was publicised on last night's Crimecall.
A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí in Rathfarnham investigating an assault of a female that occurred on a Dublin Bus service in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 on the morning of Wednesday 29th May, 2024 have arrested a man.
"The man aged in his 30s was arrested this afternoon and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public for their assistance following the recent appeal regarding this incident broadcast on last night's Crimecall episode.
"Investigations ongoing."
