Gardai have arrested a man in his 20s in connection with the mugging of a woman in her 80s in Dublin 6.
The robbery and assault took place on the Ranelagh Road in the early hours of Thursday September 1st.
The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries in the attack which happened between 2am and 3.45am.
The man was arrested today and is being questioned at Irishtown Garda station where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the area to contact them.
