Gardai have arrested a man in his 50s after a staff member at a Dublin business was allegedly threatened with a fake gun.
The incident began shortly after 3 o'clock yesterday.
No Shots Fired, No Injuries
A man entered the licenced premises on Dorset Street and allegedly pulled what seemed to be a gun on the owner, and proceeded to threaten them.
The business owner fled the scene, and so did the man.
Gardai spotted him on nearby Frederick Street and short standoff then took place.
Officers disarmed and arrested the man in question soon afterward and the firearm turned out to be a fake.
He was taken to Mountjoy Garda Station, where he's currently being detained.
No shots were fired during the standoff and nobody was injured.
Investigations are ongoing.
