A man has been arrested after almost €270,000 in cash was seized by gardai in Dublin.
Officers carried out a search as part of an investigation into transnational organised crime.
A house in Newcastle in Dublin 22 was raided yesterday, where the cash, along with a vacuum packing machine and several devices, was seized.
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of enhancing or facilitating an organised crime group to commit a serious offence.
He's being questioned at Clondalkin Garda Station where he can be held for up to a week.
As part of an investigation into transnational organised crime activity, Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau seized €269,280 in cash following a search in the Newcastle area of Dublin
