A man has been arrested after being found with over €17,000 worth of drugs on him in the city centre yesterday evening.
Gardaí on routine patrol stopped a man on a bike and searched him, and discovered cannabis, cocaine, MDMA and LSD.
The man in his 30s is being held at a Garda Station in the city, where he can be questioned for up to a week.

A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí attached to the Dublin Crime Response Team seized over €17,000 worth of various drugs and arrested one man on Wednesday evening, 2nd August 2023.
"While on Operation Citizen patrols in Dublin city centre, Gardaí stopped a male travelling on an electric bicycle. Gardaí searched the male and suspected cannabis herb, cannabis resin, cocaine, MDMA and LSD were found in his possession. The estimate value of drugs seized is €17,600.
"The drugs are now subject to analysis with Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
"The male (aged in his 30s) was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda station in County Dublin.
"Investigations are ongoing."
