A man has appeared in court charged with murdering his younger brother in Dublin a few days ago.
Paul Murtagh's body was found in his home in Phibsborough last Friday.
Paul Murtagh's older brother Gary was arrested on Saturday, the day after Paul's body was discovered in his house.
It's believed Paul died from injuries suffered during a suspected assault.
Gary, who's 47 and has an address at Auburn Street in Phibsborough, made no reply after he was charged with his brother's murder on Saturday afternoon.
He made a brief appearance before Dublin District Court today, but there was no application for bail.
That can only be made before a High Court judge in murder cases.
As a result, he was remanded in custody today. He's due to appear in court again later this week.
