A man has been taken to Tallaght Hospital after an assault in Clondalkin.
It happened on Monday evening at around 7.30 pm, at the Cherrywood entrance to Corkagh Park.
The victim is in his 30s.
Gardaí are calling on anyone who witnessed this attack to come forward, officers say they're aware of a number of passers-by who came to the victim's aid.
Anyone who was around Corkagh Park on Monday between 7pm and 8pm is asked to come forward to Gardaí at Clondalkin Station.
