A man is in a critical condition after his motorbike collided with a car on the M50.
The motorcyclist, who is in his late 20s, collided with a car on the slip road from Ballymun heading onto the M50 southbound. It happened at around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a critical condition. The female driver of the car, who is in her 30s, was uninjured. No one else was in the car at the time.
Garda Forensic Collision carried out a technical examination of the scene last night.
Gardaí are appealing to any road users, either from the M50 or the slip road, at Ballymun who may have video or dash cam footage, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to come forward to them.Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballymun Garda Station at 01 666 4400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
