A 40 year-old man has been charged in connection with a shooting in Lucan last month.
He was arrested yesterday as part of the investigation into the gun attack at the Griffeen Glen Park housing estate on September 4th.
The 43 year-old victim was in his car when a gunman opened fire, shooting him several times just before 2pm in the afternoon.
The man managed to get out of the vehicle, fleeing to a nearby house. He was left with serious injuries following the shooting.
A van was later found burnt out half a kilometre away.
The man arrested is expected before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am this morning.
