People on the Louisiana coast are bracing themselves for Hurricane Ida to hit later - described as "extremely dangerous".
It's expected to make landfall, west of New Orleans
It's gained strength to become a dangerous Category 4 storm, with winds of around 150 miles per hour.

That's stronger than Hurricane Katrina - the storm which devastated New Orleans 16 years ago to the day - killing around 1,800 people.
The city's at risk again this time along nearby Baton Rouge.
