The Tanaiste has revealed he and his partner have opened up their home to a Ukrainian refugee.
The Irish Daily Mail says Leo Varadkar confirmed yesterday that he and his partner Matt Barrett have had a female who fled the war in Ukraine, living with them in their Dublin home since last month.
The Fine Gael leader told the newspaper that they are happy to do so, for at least 6 months.
Just under 1,300 people who left Ukraine since the Russian invasion are now living in pledged accommodation here, despite initial offers of rooms exceeding 20 thousand.
