The event company that has arranged a stripper to perform for students at a Leaving Cert end of exams party says the event is going ahead as planned.
Tamango nightclub in Portmarnock has come under fire for arranging to have a stripper perform at its End of Year party on Wednesday.
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre has raised concern, stating that it doesn't believe it's an appropriate form of entertainment for the occasion.
Ellen O'Malley Dunlop has told 98FM that she believes the performance will send out the wrong message to teenagers, as they leave school as begin adult life.
Don Myers, President of The National Parents Council Post Primary, has called on parents to be aware of where their children are going to celebrate finishing exams.
He's told 98FM that not every Leaving Cert student who's due to complete exams is 18-years-old.
This afternoon, 3D Ents which has organised the event posted this message on its Facebook page.
Tamango hasn't returned 98FM's calls.
