The Labour Party says there needs to be a greater Garda presence in coastal towns to curb anti-social behaviour.
The comments come after videos circulated online last night, showing young people involved in a brawl in Malahide in Dublin yesterday.
Duncan Smith Labour TD for Dublin Fingal has said it was disappointing more Gardai weren't seen in Malahide yesterday.
Reports in today's Sunday Independent say Gardai plan to deploy full public order units on weekends across Dublin following a spike in anti-social behaviour.
Irish Rail is also looking to tackle the problem, with plans to introduce on-the-spot fines.
