Dublin's Kellie Harrington has made history by winning back-to-back Olympic Gold medals.
Hundreds of people watched the fight live on a big screen in the north inner city last night as the Portland Row native defeated China's Wenlu Yang in the women's lightweight final in Paris.

President Michael D Higgins described it as a 'truly remarkable achievement by a phenomenal sportsperson', while Taoiseach Simon Harris described the 34 year-old as a 'legend'.

In an emotional interview with RTE after the fight, Kellie announced her retirement from the sport;
"It's the last hurrah, I'm done. I've always said I want to retire a champion. That's it."
