Katie Taylor says her first stop on the way home to Wicklow this evening will be at her granny's house.
The Olympic Gold medalist won her sixth successive European title yesterday, beating French boxer Estelle Mossely in Bucharest.
She touched down in Dublin airport this afternoon, and was greeted by a host of fans and supporters at arrivals.
Katie says she's thrilled to be home, and is looking forward to celebrating the win with her friends and family.
"The Katie effect" has been credited with raising the profile for women in sport, but in particular young women in boxing.

As she waited for her idol to come through the arrivals hall at Dublin airport this afternoon, she said the 28 year old is a perfect example of "girl power".
