Olympic medal winning boxer John Joe Nevin is in hospital with a suspected broken leg after an incident in Mullingar this morning.
It happened in the Ardleigh area shortly after 11 o'clock this morning.
Gardai were called and are investigating the incident.
No arrests have been made.
Nevin won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics in London.
