It's International Women's Day!
A survey of Irish professional women shows that 84 per cent believe a flexible working policy is crucial to managing motherhood and a demanding job.
The survey, carried out by Citrix Ireland, said more flexible working policies would mean new mums would be in a better position to return to work sooner if they had to for financial reasons.
Grace O'Rourke-Veitch said employers should try and create more inclusive working environments.
The National Women's Council of Ireland will hold a soap box on O'Connell Street this afternoon.
Comedian Tara Flynn and wife of President Higgins Sabina Higgins along with activists from across the political spectrum have registered to take part.
Women and men will speak on topics such as marriage equality, mental health, reproductive rights, rural women living in isolation, violence against women and childcare.
The Soapbox will take place from 12pm to 4pm opposite the GPO and everything said will be live tweeted over the four hours.
