Celebrations are already underway Down Under for the Irish Abroad on Australia Day.
There has been a 40 percent increase in Irish emigrants being granted citizenship on Australia Day.
Between 2012 and 2013 almost 1800 Irish people became Australian citizens.
Now a further 341 Irish people living in Australia will be granted this status.
Experts at VisaFirst.com say that over the last 10 years the number of Irish getting Australian citizenship has more than doubled.
