An investigation is underway after a man's body was discovered at his home in Drumcondra in Dublin.
It happened at St Michael's Road last night.
At around 11pm, gardaí received a call that a number of men were attempting to break into a house.
When officers arrived at the scene, there was nobody present and the body of a 50-year-old man was located in the house.
The body remains at the scene this morning, and the State Pathologist is due to visit the scene later.
