Gardaí in North County Dublin are investigating a series of random attacks by gangs of teenagers.
One victim was placed in an induced coma after he suffered a head injury during an assault.
Gangs of youths, often armed with hammers, golf clubs or bats, are randomly attacking others and posting videos on social media.
Local Councillor Seamus McGrattan says he's aware of four people who were hospitalised as a result of the attacks: "It started off before Christmas - there was a number of random attacks, and it seemed to be primarily based locally in between Cabra and Finglas gangs.
"They're linking up with gangs from different parts of the city, they're fighting against each other one week and they're with that gang the following week.
"It's all organised through social media, primarily TikTok, and it's been videoed and shared around.
"It seems to be getting more violent and more dangerous as it goes on."
Gardai say they're investigating the incidents, and have released a statement: "Gardaí in Cabra are aware of a number of public order incidents which are subsequently been posted on various social media platforms. Gardaí are investigating these incidents in collaboration with other Garda districts within this catchment area.
"Cabra Gardaí, together with all the other relevant agencies will continue to proactively engage with Cabra Youth to reduce such incidents occurring."
