Ikea Ireland are calling for Dublin Bus to begin services earlier in the morning.
The request is included in its submission to the National Transport Authority in relation to the Bus Connects plan.
Ikea says the earliest bus available to workers on weekdays gets them to its store in Ballymun for just after 8am.
It says given the early shifts in store, an option for buses to arrive from 6am would be welcomed.
The Irish Times reports that the submission also states that workers can't get to the store until 8am or 9am at the weekends.
Ikea employs more than 700 workers. It has two stores in Ireland in Ballymun and Carrickmines.
The NTA has published 10 of the 16 proposed core bus corridors.
Details on the remaining 6 will be released later this month.
