The iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has died at the age of 85.
French media say the creative director of Chanel passed away this morning following a period of ill health.
He recently missed the brand's fashion show in Paris for the first time since 1983, because he was tired.
Victoria Beckham has called him a "genius".
Model and TV star Alexa Chung says she remembers being so scared to interview him - but he was in fact "incredibly witty and generous."
The British Fashion Council has paid tribute to Lagerfeld:
"His unrivalled contribution to the fashion industry changed the way women dress and perceive fashion".
BFC's Caroline Rush also said his unique vision transformed Chanel "from a classic French house into a global superbrand".
