The iconic Fun Place Joke Shop has reopened in Dublin City Centre.
After 40 years in business, the shop on South King Street was forced to close due to lockdown restrictions.
The shutdown of the entertainment industry and the cancellation of events and festivals like Halloween and St Patrick's Day left the business with "no one to sell to".
Now it has reopened in a new location in Stephens Green Shopping Centre.
Co-owner, Shay Howlin says the success of the vaccination rollout in Ireland inspired them to try and reopen:
"We decided around March/April time when we could see the vaccination process working that we felt you know entertainment can come back.
"Our biggest season is Halloween, most people in retail its Christmas, but for us it's Halloween, so timing was hugely important for us."
