New Garda figures show 118 gardaí were found to have committed discipline breaches last year, with 13 serious breaches, including abuse of official communications, and criminal conduct recorded.
The details are revealed in records released under the Freedom of Information Act by the force.
Some officers had more than one adverse finding against them.
There were 91 findings of neglect of duty and 25 discreditable-conduct offences.
There were also single findings of abuse of authority, and abuse of official communications.
There were two findings of criminal conduct.
Fianna Fáil TD Marc MacSharry called for the details of the breaches to be released as well.
"The vast majority of Gardaí are very very hard-working and do a tremendously good job on all of our behalfs, but I think that in building the trust that the public requires we need to be fully open and transparent about information that's available to us."
"With 118 members having been found to have been in breach of discipline I think the public could usefully be made aware of what these breaches are," he said.
The Garda press office didn't respond to requests for comment.
There are currently about 14,500 gardaí in Ireland, meaning fewer than 1 per cent of officers were disciplined last year.
