A housing charity has announced plans to build almost 3,000 cost rental and social homes in Dublin.
Respond says these large scale mixed projects will be the first of a kind delivered by an approved housing body.
The developments will feature a 50:50 split between social and cost-rental homes.
National Spokesperson, Niamh Randall, says not all of the sites have been named just yet.
However the locations that have been revealed already are:
- Charlestown (590 homes).
- Tallaght (502 homes).
- Clonburris (318 homes).
- Donaghmede (397 homes).

Niamh says it is important that Respond is focusing on both social and cost-rental housing.
"So social homes in terms of those who are currently on the social housing waiting list, but also cost-rental housing which is a new tenure type in Ireland."
