The operators of Dublin Airport says it will insulate more houses in North Dublin this year to protect them from noise.
Local residents and a nearby golf club have been complaining of noise every since the new runway opened.
Planning permission has also been sought for two new noise monitoring systems.
CEO of the DAA Kenny Jacobs says they take the issue very seriously.
''We actively engage with the community in north County Dublin on noise and all matters. We have insulated a number of houses and expect to insulate some more in the coming year, a small number, as we take the issue very seriously.''
Elsewhere Mr Jacobs also said last summer's scenes at Dublin Airport won't be repeated. The Airport Authority says its doubled the number of security staff since then. He said it will be busy - but nothing compared to summer 2022.
