Tomorrow's strike by hospital support staff has been called off at the last minute.
It's been postponed to allow for talks in a row over pay-rises take place.
10,000 workers including porters, cleaners and health care assistants were due to walk off the job tomorrow morning from eight.
Some appointments had already been cancelled.
Siptu representatives have confirmed that a 24-hour workplace stoppage at 38 hospitals and healthcare facilities has been postponed at the request of the WRC.
The union says discussions on the implementation of the job evaluation scheme will get under way tomorrow but preparations for strikes next Tuesday and Wednesday will continue.
In a statement, the HSE has welcomed the deferral and says that hospitals will now work to reinstate services and appointments.
