Serious child protection issues have been found at a high dependency support unit for teenagers in Fingal.
During an inspection three months ago, the health watchdog HIQA found that some practices at Crannog Nua in Portrane put children at risk.
They found that corridor doors were locked after eight at night, breaching fire safety regulations and the children's human rights.
It was also noted that within a 12-month period there were 134 absences from the unit in which only four children were living at the time.
A group representing people in care here say the results of the report are worrying.
EPIC want the issues highlighted in the report addressed immediately.
