The Food Safety Authority ordered eleven businesses to shut up shop in June -- four of them in Dublin's Moore Street Mall.
It's the highest number of closure orders issued in one month so far this year.
Inspectors found dead cockroaches, live cockroaches, mouse droppings and flies at food businesses there.
They included the restaurants His Food, Steam and Gorace Gary, along with one shop, Mroz.
There was a dead mouse at the entrance to a kitchen in one of the businesses.
The Food Safety Authority said the four businesses in the mall had failed to bring in adequate measures to control pests.
It said they would have clean up, bring in exterminators and move food storage out of reach of pests and before reopening.
Environmental health inspectors also shut down a Centra shop in Cabra after finding rat droppings behind its ice-cream machine.
