Hazel Chu was last night elected as the 352nd Lord Mayor of Dublin.
The Green Party councillor succeeds Fianna Fail's Tom Brabazon and becomes only the ninth woman to hold the post.
It follows Dublin city council's annual meeting last night.

Under an agreement between a number of political parties, it's the Green's turn to take on the position of Lord Mayor.
Hazel Chu says clean air, transport and homelessness are her priorities;
"My priorities are to make sure our city is liveable and also continue with the clean air, clean transport, the mobility plans that DCC have rolled out with NTA is amazing and we need to keep that up."
Meanwhile Councillor Mary Callaghan has been elected as Deputy Lord Mayor.
