Dublin's Guinness Storehouse is to lay-off a number of staff as the fall-off in international tourists hits.
8,000 people a day were visiting the attraction in the Liberties before it shut in March because of the coronavirus. 93 per cent of them were from overseas.
The storehouse was the most popular tourist attraction in Ireland in 2018, welcoming 1.7 million visitors.
Diageo is currently consulting with staff on reducing numbers as it prepare to reopen this month;
"The tourism sector is expecting significantly reduced international visitor numbers for an extended period of time in Ireland, and the Guinness Storehouse must plan for its reopening on that basis" the company said in a statement.
A consultation process is currently underway and is due to be completed by the end of the month.
John Dunne is general secretary of the Guinness Staff Union, which represents the majority of the 150 workers;
"They're looking at a considerable number of people because of the fairly big collapse in visitor numbers...there are plans now to begin reopening it but it will be a much smaller business."
