A Dublin man has been treated for injuries to his face after he was attacked in a car park.
The victim, in his fifties, says he was jumped by a gang of teenagers after arranging to meet someone on Grindr.
He's described it as a "premeditated homophobic attack", and is warning other gay men to take extra care online.
Gardai have confirmed they're investigating an assault, which took place near the Malahide Road in Coolock at 10:30pm Tuesday night.
Grindr Attack: Facebook Appeal
In a Facebook post, Marc Power explained that when he went to meet someone off Grindr he was confronted by "a group of teenage boys with weapons".
"They were trying to hit me on the head with hammers".
Marc said he believed they were trying to kill him.
He was treated at Beaumont Hospital for what Gardai described as "non-life threatening injuries".
His car was also damaged.
No arrests have been made, but Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
