A Grammy recognised singer and producer is in Dublin today to record a song for his 'music for global change' campaign.
Skyler Jett has performed with some of the biggest names in the music industry in his decorated career, including Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion and Beyonce.
Together with a choir of kids from the Showstoppers Stageschool, he'll be recording his track Positive Vibes at the Button Factory in Dublin, aiming to inspire people to see the good in the world and to make it a better place.
The former member of American funk and soul band, Commodores, Jett says he's on a mission to spread joy and hope among young people in particular;
"I've never been to a country that didn't have music. It's 12 notes. It doesn't matter what genre it is, they're all in those 12 notes. They affect people, music is emotion. But it's not just for young people, it's for everybody. I'm using young people because if we can get the schools all over the world and teach young people about positive vibes, they feel better about themselves and they go out and spread the love."
